Delete user
By Marc_adm · 10 October 2026
This page explains how to delete your ZenseHome account and what happens to your data. It applies to the ZenseHome app for Android and iPhone, made by ZenseHome.
Delete your account in the app
- Open the ZenseHome app and log in.
- Go to Settings → My account.
- Tap Delete my account and confirm.
For your security, the account can only be deleted shortly after you log in. If the app asks you to, log out, log in again and then delete your account.
If you own an address, you must first transfer it to another user or delete it. The app tells you if this is the case. You do both on the address's settings page: Transfer ownership gives the address and its box to another user who has access to it. Delete removes the address and all its data.
Ask us to delete your account
If you can't use the app, for example because you no longer have a phone with it, email support@zensehome.com from the email address you use to log in, with the subject "Delete my account". We delete the account and confirm by email within 30 days. If the email doesn't come from your login address, we may ask you to confirm that the account is yours.
What is deleted
When you delete your account, these are deleted at once and can't be restored:
- Your login (email address and password).
- Your user profile: your email address, the list of addresses you have access to, and your notification settings.
- Your email address on every address that was shared with you. The owners of those addresses no longer see you as a user, and you lose access to them.
- Invitations to addresses that were sent to you and not yet accepted.
The app also stops push notifications to your phone and logs you out.
What is kept
- Addresses owned by other people. Address data (rooms, units, scenarios, schedules and the address's log) belongs to the address and its owner. It stays when you leave the address. The log may show events from the time you used the address, such as lights being switched on or off. It does not show your email address.
- Crash reports. If the app crashed while you used it, an anonymous crash report may have been sent to Google Firebase Crashlytics. These reports aren't linked to your account and are deleted automatically after 90 days.
- Emails with support. If you emailed us, we keep the correspondence only as long as we need it to handle your request.
Deleting the app from your phone does not delete your account. Use the steps above.
