How To Tell The Difference Between an EU Wall Box or an LK FUGA Wall Box
By Christian · 5 November 2026
When it comes to wall mounting boxes for power outlets or switches, it can sometimes be difficult to tell the difference.
To help identify which type of wall box you have, we've listed a few key characteristics below.
This will help you determine whether you need products designed for EU wall boxes or LK FUGA wall boxes.
Danish Wall Box (LK FUGA)
The Danish wall box:
- The box installed inside the wall often has a square shape.
- Commonly used in many Danish homes.
- Often recognized by the characteristic Danish "smiley" power outlets.
(Example shown here of one of several types of LK FUGA wall box)
EU Wall Box
The EU wall box:
- Is typically round.
- Follows the same mounting principle as EU ceiling boxes.
- Has a screw spacing of 60 mm.
- Can often be identified by being slightly larger than many Danish power outlets and switches.
