Home Simulation is essentially a simple burglary deterrent. The ZenseHome system records the exact activity times of all devices and replays them when Home Simulation is activated.
What Happens When I Activate Home Simulation?
When Home Simulation is activated in the app, the system immediately begins replaying activity from the previous 7 days.
For example, if Home Simulation is activated on a Friday evening, the activity that occurred the previous Friday will be replayed.
What If Home Simulation Runs for More Than One Week?
If Home Simulation remains active for more than one week, it will continue on with the same home simulation.
The system will keep replaying activity from the previous 7 days. In practice, this means that the same activity pattern will be repeated every week until Home Simulation is deactivated.
Can Home Simulation Be Started from a Button?
Home Simulation can only be activated from the app.
Home Simulation is activated in the app under Settings → Home Security → Home Simulation.
On this page, you can enable or disable Home Simulation. The page also displays the next scheduled action that will be performed.
When Home Simulation is enabled, a notification will always be displayed at the top of the app stating:
"Home Simulation is enabled."
