Phase Coupling

What Is Phase Coupling and How Does It Work?
When two devices are connected to different phases, the signals between them are routed through the ZenseHome box. The first time this happens, the signal may be delayed by a few seconds.
Afterwards, the ZenseHome box remembers the communication path between the devices, allowing future signals to be transmitted almost instantly.
An example of phase coupling is when a switch is connected to one phase and a light outlet is connected to another. The first time the switch turns the light on, there may be a delay of a few seconds. Once the ZenseHome box has learned the relationship between the switch and the light outlet, the time between pressing the switch and the light turning on will be significantly reduced.
How Can I View the Phase Couplings in My Installation?
The Phase Coupling page can be found in the app under:
Settings → Status → Phase Coupling
This page provides an overview of the phase couplings within your installation and between the various devices.
What Happens If I Delete a Phase Coupling?
If a phase coupling is deleted, the system will automatically recreate it the next time communication between the devices requires it.
In general, there is no need to manually delete phase couplings, as the system automatically creates and removes them as needed.
